NOTES
Biologist Anja Hørnell and spiritguide Lillebirk work together to understand and honor the world we live in. Anja knows many things about nature, but sometimes scientific knowledge is not enough and then Lillebirk travels through worlds and the wildernes to bring back answers or wisdom. Anja is good at asking questions and Lillebirk is good at listening. Anja is educated biologist from Copenhagen University and Lillebirk is educated by shamans, witches, trolls, fairys, the seas and the forests of the North.
Hi Shekufe, I would like to listen to your garden with Lillebirk, is that ok? Anja said. Yes, you can go there on Thursday, there is peace and quiet. Shekufe said. Anja packed her staff and other listening equipment and set off. Besides listening, Anja also wanted to achieve some other things in Hjortetakly. The work list, as usual -time optimistic, looked like this: - Photos of Rat's shoulder blade and skull - Listen with Lillebirk - Create guestbook - Build a hut Once there, Anja entered Hjortetakly. The first thing she heard was the sound of apples and plums falling to the ground. Bump, bump, bump. Oh how nice, she thought. Autumn is here and everyones giving gifts. Anja herself brought 4 hazelnuts as gifts. She gathered fruits and seeds and made a small altar by the big maple trees near the cabin. Thank you for showing me that the harvest and generosity exist, she said and placed two hazelnuts on the altar. She greeted a brown frog, but it was busy. Then she looked for the bones of Rat, which she wanted to photograph for the description of the wisdom of theRat in Hjortetakly. She couldn't find the bones, got annoyed and stomped around a bit. Well, she thought, I can't spend all my time looking, so I have to move on to the next item on my to-do list: Get help from Little Birk and listen to the creatures of the garden. Anja walked around the garden and found a large thorn tree(hawthorn, hvidtjørn) to sit under. Many say that thorn trees make for an unruly journey, but that was where she had to sit, that's just how it was. She gave 2 hazelnuts to the tree, sat down and took out the drum. She began to drum and began her work with this prayer: Dear East and all beings and spirits belonging to the East, help me and guide me so that I can work well. Dear South and all beings and spirits belonging to the South, help me and guide me so that I can work well. Dear West and all beings and spirits belonging to the West, help me and guide me so that I can work well. Dear North and all beings and spirits belonging to the North, help me and guide me so that I can work well. Dear Sky and all beings and spirits belonging to Sky, help me and guide me so that I can work well. Dear Earth and all creatures and spirits that belong to Earth, help me and guide me so that I can work well. Dear Thorntree, thank you for letting me sit here. Anja drummed on and called for Lillebirk. Lillebirk had difficulty getting forward, because Anja was in the way. She was annoyed at not being able to find the bones of Rat, someone was shouting and there were also trucks making noise. Anja! Use the drum until it goes away, then I can get through. I learned that from the shamans, said Lillebirk. Anja drummed for a long time, and slowly, slowly the irritation disappeared. Softness and openness took over her body. Lillebirk came forward. She went to the Great Pinelady and tried to go down into a small hole by the roots. It was fine inside the tree, a kind of cozy warm cave, but not much happened.” It is not from here that you must travel", said the Great pinelady. But the shamans say you have to travel through holes in the ground to other worlds, Lillebirk said. That's fine, said the Great Pinelady, but it's not with me, not today. Follow your feet and you will find your way. Lillebirk looked at her feet and walked over to Thorntree, who Anja was sitting next to. She was almost sucked backwards into a small hole by the roots. She flew like a pipe pole down through the ground and up into the garden again. Then Lillebirk stood in the middle of Hjortetakly and looked around. EVERYTHING glistened and shone with golden rays. Very enchanting, said Little Birk, and made a courtesy. Good day Hjortetakly, she said shyly. She said made courtesy and greeted all the trees nicely. The sun was there and she stretched out her arms and a ray of sunlight touched her fingers. Hi Sun she said. Then Lillebirk sang a greeting to the trees and Sun and Hjortetakly. Lillebirk was quiet for a while and then asked if there was any message she should bring back with her? Cherry Tree said: Remember to talk to us and see all the beauty in here. It can be difficult for some to listen, so make an antenna that guests who need listening help can borrow, it's a good tool. Maybe you can make a water mirror - you can see a lot through that, it's also a good tool. Thank you Cherry Tree, I will tell Anja that. Lillebirk traveled back through Thorntree and told Anja what she had experienced. Anja was delighted and immediately set about making an antennastaff. She found a staff from Cherry and hung magic from alders, chatting feathers from mag pies and wisdom from flower seeds. Then she put the staff by the Hut, tidied up a little under the Great Pinelady and put fine seeds in the vase on the work table. Anja looked at the clock, I have to go home, she thought, but then someone called her from the thicket of white spruce in the north-east corner of the plot. Anja put her own staff in the ground and said: well, come forth, I'm in a bit of a hurry, because I have to get home and pick up the children! - A luminous, slim, but slightly tufted creature stepped forward cautiously and said, give us some peace over here, we want to be in peace. Ok, I'll bring that message forward. Are there others? - there wasn't. Hmmm, thought Anja, packed up the last thing, walked along the small path out of the Garden, into another world and drove home. Thank you and see you again Hjortetakly. The antenna stick is by the cabin and you can use it if it feels difficult to communicate with trees and creatures from the garden. Use the antenna stick like this: Hold the staff in your hand, stand with both feet firmly on the ground and with the staff so that the end without amulets rests on the ground and the end with amulets faces upwards. Close your eyes and feel the staff's connection with the earth and the sky and let the staff act as an antenna that can open up and conduct signals and communication through your arm and into you. Open your eyes, walk around a bit with the staff and feel where you should stand in the garden. So you stand there, say: hello Hjortetakly, can we talk? Then, you just stand there and wait with the staff in your hand and an open mind. When you have had your conversation and feel ready, you say thank you to Hjortetakly and thank you to the staff and put it back :-) maybe you made a new friend or became a little wiser, but in any case you listened and it is important to listen.
