Sata Taas

COLLABORATOR

image

sata taas collective is a non-tangible network of narratives, memories, dreams, speculative fictions, affects, sensibilities and thoughts. it centers around the idea of revitalizing indigenous onthologies of relationality. They collectively represent the Yakutian context, which is not widely visible globally. Unfolding in the form of temporal-spatial encounters of communal learning, healing, and worlding, sata taas seeks to nurture kinship, solidarity, and exchange among indigenous practitioners and their allies, beyond the politics of nation-state borders.

As part of collaboration with Hosting Lands, sata taas will continue working on indigenous arctic futurisms: threads of resilience and kinship across the circle – a durational folding and unfolding that delves into the topics of imagination of arctic futures and world-making in the times of the climate crisis and changing arctic. The core objectives of the project revolve around fostering dialogue, exploring the relationship between time and place in the Arctic context, engaging Indigenous participants in collaborative and reflective processes that will result in a two volume publication.
