27/04/2024, WORKSHOP
Dharmendra Prasad lives and works between Assam and Bihar, India. His work deals with how marginalized groups live with agrarian life in India, and the coming of plantation based capitalism in the contemporary. Prasad runs the artistic, community project Harvest School that gathers families, farmers, craftsmen, fishermen, urban youth, and non-human agencies to unlearn imperial attitudes; colonial, nationalistic and industrial practices.
Hosting Lands, along with collaborating artist Dharmendra Prasad, invite you to a workshop on memory in rural spaces, ancestral and local knowledge, and how plantations are changing our relations to food and farms.
The workshop is a space to gather, share stories, to build and to discuss how to shape lasting infrastructures of knowledge exchanges between the collaborators and their Danish hosting sites to Dharmendra’s projects in India. And how to extend and build solidarity across spaces and contexts in Denmark and beyond.
