COLLABORATOR
PDAS is a production and exhibition platform for experimental relationships between local communities, ecology and critical contemporary art. Driven by a desire to create a future that is borne of new communities across species and ways of cultivating the land, PDAS works with critical, long-term and aesthetic studies of the environment, regenerative methods and the development of poly-cultural concepts for coexistence. PDAS is based, and operates from, a former farm on Hårbøllevej, Møn. This space forms the physical framework for both studio practice, residencies, as well as production and exhibition facilities for site-specific and regenerative art projects. Here, Hosting Lands will purchase 1.3 hectare conventional farm land and in collaboration with PDAS, other artists, and local community members will turn it into a commons. This process questions the legal, social and aesthetic structures of commoning and politics of reversing host-guest relationships. And currently, with PDAS we are programming workshops on rural ecologies and knowledges, commoning land, ways to inhabit space, and how to foster care multispecies care along and with different communities. Along with artists and residents in Møn and elsewhere, Hosting Lands and PDAS have formed their Fanefjord Fælled Committee. Until 2024, the committee will lead and steward the commoning process on the Fanefjord Fælled.
