COLLABORATOR
Emilie Boye Kjær and Leonora Krag design and build, make and sense, in recognition of their being architects and gardeners at the same time. In the Hjortetakly garden and in Kalvehave's surrounding gardens, they have collected building materials over the past several months. It is a slow process that highlights the social work and trust involved in creating the relationships needed to share resources in the local, as well as across the global seas. They build forms and draw upon resources that cultivate a lived, vibrant and compostable life. Piercings (nails and screws) are taken out, the surfaces are healed with exfoliation (sanded) and moistened with facial cream (linseed oil and resin) before being woven into a new context in the compostable salon that is the garden.
